Dysautonomia is the umbrella disorder for a series of chronic illnesses like Postural Orthostatic Hypertension Syndrome (POTS) and Neurocardiogenic Syncope. Dysautonomia can be a primary or secondary diagnosis. For example, you can have Parkinson's and develop dysautonomia, which would be secondary to the Parkinson's. Dysautonomia is also highly correlated with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a connective tissue disorder whose hallmark is hypermobility. Whatever way you developed dysautonomia, whether primary, secondary, EDS… we feel for you. That's why we love these educational and funny dysautonomia t-shirts, stickers, and pins. We hope you do too!

Funny Dysautonomia T-Shirts
These dysautonomia t-shirts use humor and hope to raise awareness about the lives of people with POTS and what we wish people understood about living with invisible chronic illness
Dizzy but Determined – Humorous Dysautonomia Sweatshirt
You will see a few things about dizziness and salt in these dysautonomia t-shirts and other merch. One of the hallmarks of the syncope and POTS disorders under the dysautonomia umbrella is heart rates changing when you stand up, which causes dizziness or even fainting. Salt and electrolytes help your blood pressure and make it so you don't pass out (hopefully) and help you when you change positions whether from sitting to standing or laying back and then sitting up/standing. Changing positions and having your heart rate change is called orthostatic tachycardia. Things your body would normally do on its own like regulate heart rate, blood pressure, temperature or digestion go haywire in dysautonomia, which literally means bad (dys-) autonomia (autonomic system).
This funny dysautonomia sweatshirt is humorous because it plays on the fact that dizziness is a major part of dysautonomia awareness. Your nervous system does not function right, and, yes, we are unicorns! Rare and elusive, the dysautonomia unicorns live among us, and you might not even know if you know a unicorn, because a lot of the time, persons with chronic illness are the best “faking being well” people you may know, but we are here, and we are MAGICAL!
Rainbow POTS Warrior – POTS Awareness T-Shirt
Remember Xena, Warrior Princess? We may not have the leather straps and studs, but we are WARRIORS! Hear us loud and proud, taking on the world one day at a time. This POTS awareness t-shirt lets the world know that we will never surrender, never give up and we will pick up our swords and shields and FIGHT… because that's what warriors do! You, my friend, are a warrior. Don't ever forget it!
Do Not Recommend – Funny Dysautonomia Awareness T-Shirt
This funny dysautonomia shirt is one of our favorites. Dysautonomia? Definitely do not recommend!
Stay Salty POTS Sweatshirt, Dysautonomia Awareness Clothes
Earlier in the post, we touched on how helpful salt can be for orthostatic issues. Salt will raise your blood pressure, hence doctors normally recommend against it, but for Potsies salt is critical in raising our blood pressure and helping us avoid passing out! This cute dysautonomia awareness sweatshirt is not only funny, but also can spark a conversation about why we need to “stay salty” for POTS as opposed to the colloquial “salty” meaning upset. Make sure to get your salt in friends. In a pinch, pickle juice is full of salt and electrolytes so drink up!
BRB Don't Call 911 Funny Dysautonomia T-Shirt
Unfortunately, passing out can be a normal occurrence for people with dysautonomia, POTS, syncope, or other orthostatic issues. While this can be normal for us, those around us (especially strangers in public) are not used to people just randomly passing out, so this funny dysautonomia awareness shirt begs people to NOT call 911 if we pass out, as this is normal for us. However, that being said as a funny dysautonomia shirt, it's always important to get checked out if you have new symptoms or have hit your head or a multitude of other things… ya know what I'm talking about. Unfortunately, so many of the symptoms of dysautonomia can be really severe and people just aren't equipped to handle it. Furthermore, they think they are doing the right thing by calling medical personal if something like passing out happens. Remember — see your doctor if you have new or worsening symptoms and always carry pickle juice!
I Stood Up Too Fast Again Funny Dysautonomia T-Shirt
This shirt is a play on the Sound of Silence, a song by Simon and Garfunkel (legends). The lyrics, if you don't know the original song, have been changed a little at the end to include ‘I stood up too fast again' and we think this funny dysautonomia shirt plays on the song in a perfect way. We just love this funny shirt from DevineDesigns, a spoonie-owned business dedicated to spreading chronic illness awareness.
Funny Dysautonomia Awareness Pins
These dysautonomia pins would look fab on your backpack or jacket while raising awareness about POTS.
Cute Cat POTS Pin
This pin is cute and it talks about POTS. Cats are cute. That is all.
Dizzy Girl Gang Dysautonomia Awareness Pin
Dizzy girls represent!
Funny Fainting — Humorous Dysautonomia Pin
Dysautonomia, especially Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and syncope disorders, can cause massive dizziness and fainting. Many other chronic illnesses or even medications can cause dizziness, and we love this pin that brings awareness to the dizziness that accompanies dysautonomia.
Dysautonomia Awareness and Funny Dysautonomia Stickers
Stay Salty Dysautonomia Sticker
This sticker is an adorable parody of the Morton salt girl. Stay salty, my friends!
Dysautonomia Awareness Ribbon Sticker
This dysautonomia awareness sticker combines the blue dysautonomia awareness ribbon with our favorite WARRIOR attestation.
Forever Freezing Dysautonomia Awareness Sticker
Many people with dysautonomia also have issues with temperature regulation. Too cold? Makes us hurt. Too hot? Makes us overheat and pass out. We love this ‘Forever Freezing' sticker because of its accuracy in describing the temperature regulation issues accompanying dysautonomia. Since temperature regulation is an autonomic function (aka your body is supposed to normally regulate it), when you have Dysautonomia, your body does not regulate your temperature and you are prone to overheating or being cold, despite the weather or temperature. This temperature regulation dysautonomia sticker is from Oleander and Hemlock, another spoonie-owned small business!
Hydration Funny Dysautonomia Stickers – Dysautonomia Awareness Stickers
Dehydration is a real issue that can have serious consequences. Many times people with dysautonomia will need extra hydration, maybe in the form of an IV bag or banana bag with electrolytes. Because people with dysautonomia are prone to passing out, electrolytes and fluids can make a big difference in our bodies and bring us some relief.
So Tachy Rainbow Love Funny Dysautonomia Sticker
We love this fun sticker! A funny play on words, the rainbow, hearts, and the EKG-style heart rate line. This funny dysautonomia sticker is perfect for people with tachycardia (beats per minute over 100), which, again, is an autonomic function your body should normally take care of but doesn't! You can get this design on t-shirts too!
While our bodies don't work quite like “normal,” autonomic system regulation issues can wreak havoc through all our body systems — heart, stomach, brain…. all of it is involved in dysautonomia. While having dysautonomia or gastroparesis or POTS or EDS or any of the multitude of disorders that falls under the umbrella of autonomic system issues can be a real pain in the patootie, know that you aren't alone and hopefully these funny Dysautonomia awareness shirts, pins, and stickers can evoke a small smile or giggle, in which case we have succeeded in our mission and wish you well, Warrior!
