3/8 Ratchet
15mm front axle
14mm seat adjustment
13mm seat post clamp on bike
10mm for front fender bolts
10mm open end front fender nut
H6 hex for handlebars
14 mm open end wrench for pedals
Phillips screwdriver for reflectors
Adjustable wrench for headset
There was some interference between the tire and front fender but that was easily fixed by bending the attachment arms of the fender. The gear shifts of the nexus hub are very precise and quick. It is recommended to coast between gear shifts to reduce strain on the hub, however it works while pedaling too.
The chain needs to be degreased of cosmoline from shipping and then greased with chain lube/wax. Tires get inflated to 43 psi. My front tube was leaking so I contacted Schwinn and they sent a new one (lifetime defect warranty). For registration the serial number is on the bottom of the frame where the pedal cranks attach. There is a production date sticker on the downtube, a picture of that is required for a warranty claim as well.
The bike rides great for a cruiser. The 3 speed is a must in my opinion if you ride consistently. Most of the time riding in the neighborhood is in 1 and 2 but if you really want to be an HOA rocketeer click it down to 3 and blast off. The tires do really well on pavement and grass. They are 26x2.125 should you want to replace them or need a new tube.
The kickstand is stiff at first but loosens up after a few uses. The seat is firm but liveable, better than other cruisers I've tried. The coaster brake works well. The handle bar grips are comfortable and a good size. Nothing feels flimsy like it will break over time. I believe I read another review where the pedal crank bearings failed, you should never put your full weight or stand on the pedals as this will destroy the bearings.

First the good stuff. This bike looks really nice, good lines, nice matte black paint job, moderately fat tires. The riding position is upright with the curved handlebars and the saddle is wide and has springs. It's pretty low fatigue to tool around on and I can do an hour or more on it with minimal discomfort. The 7 speed grip shift is pretty simple although it's a little high effort to twist and the gears seem to range from "not quite granny gear but ok for modest hills" to "faster than you'd expect for a bike like this". No problem riding streets and trails or over bumps, small curbs, tree roots etc. It's not a mountain bike but is perfectly fine for the boardwalks and unpaved trails where I live. Front and rear pull brakes like a real bike, fenders are nice if you ride in the rain or through puddles (a real concern when I was commuting).
Now the not so good. This bike is super heavy. It feels sturdy but man, it's like double the weight of my road bike. You won't want to carry it anywhere and you'll feel it if you want to ride faster than 5-7 mph. Build quality is just ok. My brakes squeal, the seat springs are noisy, the seat doesn't have a quick release so it's a PITA to adjust. Assembly was relatively straightforward if you have the tools but adjusting the brakes and derailleurs properly to get good stops and shifts through all the gears is tricky. You may have to put some real force into tightening the handlebars and seat post so they won't move. The tires are smaller diameter and fatter than a hybrid bike so you'll have to work harder to go far and fast. The fenders can get out of whack if you bump them so the tire will rub. I also get a weird rhythmic clacking on certain gears and the bike is noisy when coasting.
Overall if you want a good looking cruiser that's easy to ride and will handle most terrain without breaking the bank, this Huron is pretty good. If your budget is bigger, you can probably get something higher quality that's a little lighter, smoother, and with better parts. Also you may want to look into a hybrid or mountain bike instead if you're going to do minimal/mostly off road. I would definitely not buy this bike if you live on the 5th floor of an apartment and have to carry it up and down the steps because of the weight. For a simple relaxed ride that can go almost anywhere though, this bike should be plenty.
The derailleur was way out of adjustment for something that was supposed to be adjusted from the factory but that's not the big issue.
The big issue was me trying to find out why while rotating the pedals this would bind up randomly and why the sprocket cassette was so wobbly.
So after wasting a whole day of trying to fix this thing and it's cheap garbage Chinese bearings I had to start a return but guess what You got to have a box to do return.
Here's the problem The wheel hub assembly and cones are not installed properly and are over torqued causing a binding about every 3/4 of a rotation.
And unless you got the right tool to disassemble the cassette pull the bearings apart which are loose bearings packed in shipping grease not even packed in bearing grease, your SOL.
Amazon I'll give you 30% off that'll barely cover a replacement hub of decent quality let alone the labor to do it.
So you're only choice is to get a replacement waste a whole day trying to fix the one that you got and then when the replacement gets here hope that that one doesn't have the same problem.
About another Schwinn bike for my daughter and it is absolute trash too avoid this brand it is not what it used to be.
Top reviews from other countries
The bike is pretty light and a lot smaller than I thought which I is great, I was worried about getting a big cruiser.
The only downside is that the wheels did not come completely filled, so you’ll need an air pump once you get it. Other than that I can wait to see how it performs.
Also this bike would fit someone big. I m 5 5 inches and it was too heavy for me. But my partner, who is bigger than me, tried to ride it and also did not feel comfortable.
So if you want to use this bike as a commuter, never take this model. It is not comfortable for this purpose, that can cause dangerous situation on the road.
