    My son has autism and this lamp captivated his attention for around 45 minutes before he even looked at doing anything else. It's so calming and doesn't get hot. It cycles through deferent colors and we love that! It's easy to set up. (Be sure you have some distilled water before setting it up.) My only issue with it is that the base isn't very sturdy so I have to supervise and make sure he doesn't knock it over. That being said though, the top stays on tightly so it's less stressful if he were to ever knock it over. Overall, you can't beat the price and once it's set up, it's so beautiful to watch!

    I had been wanting to get my adult brother one of these for a few years, but the larger ones are crazy expensive. This one, tested the day it was gifted, was nice and sturdy. However... you can't change the color rotation. It will do a cycle of the colors and flicker/flash no matter what. I would've preferred at least the option to keep it on one color at a time.
