Not for Alzheimer’s or Small Children. Dangerous for seniors.
This has sequin loosely sewn on one side. Easily will come loose. Definitely a chocking hazard for Alzheimer’s patients as they can easily come off and end up in their mouth. Plus the outside of the bag it came in states it’s a gift bag not what it states in the listing title. Totally false advertisement. I am completely disappointed in what I received. It’s being returned and I reordered the more pricey one that is suitable for what it’s intended for.
My dad has Alzheimer's and my soon-to-be mother-in-law has all timers my dad likes to play with it when drifting off to sleep my mother-in-law actually has wrapped it around her wrist and is playing with it money well spent
My mom has stage 7 alzheimer, she has a problem with scratching at herself. I was hoping this would work but she barely looks at it for 10 seconds. The parts she liked were the big beads that reminded her of her old rosary. The sequin area she liked too but it didn't work in the spot she kept trying which is toward the edge where the threading is. Sometimes we have her put it on her wrist which distracted her a little longer. She said she loves her bracelet.
Purchased for my dad after a fall and while trying to recover. He was suffering cognitively and very fidgety. is was the perfect distraction for him and he often looked for it to hold on to. it has many items that are different in texture for exploration
I bought this for my medically complex daughter whom I've struggled to find toys she has any interest in working to play with. Her mobility is limited to the point that if she drops a toy she cannot retrieve it on her own. This has been the perfect toy for her! We get many questions from her medical team and therapists regarding where I found it. I did have to remove the little balls before giving it to her but we've had no issues with pieces or parts coming off, and with how much she chews it that's surprising. I'm extremely grateful this exists for her.
I purchased this item to fulfill a request from a local hospice house. Since they have experience treating alzheimer's patients, I am sure they are helpful in that situation.
